Reading and Writing
This is such an exciting time for us. My deaf 4 year old is reading and writing! We knew he could sight read a few words and he was even writing some of his favorite words, like his name and Goodyear ;)
On Tuesday night we were trying to get him to pray for dinner. He didn't want to, as usual, so I thought it would be funny to write it down and ask him again.
Who
Pray?
He looked at the note, we told him what it said (since Who and Pray aren't in his reading vocab).
Then I wrote his name. He smiled this adorable smile as he recognized his name. Then he picked up the pencil and wrote...
NO DAD
We were floored. So proud. So amazed that he had written this response.
So dad said/signed the prayer.
